After many twists and turns, we're checking in on where marijuana legislation stands now, and what advocates for and against legalization think of the process.

After a push from Governor Shumlin and a bill passed by the Senate, many people saw legal marijuana on its way in Vermont. Now, after many twists and turns, it's unclear what form any final bill on the issue might take. We’re coming back to the legalization debate and asking people on both sides about where the legislative process has taken us.

We're talking to Debby Haskins, executive director of Smart Approaches to Marijuana Vermont, and Matt Simon, New England political director for the Marijuana Policy Project.

Also on the program: a new, meticulously-researched historical novel tells the story of Achsa Sprague, a spiritualist and medium from Plymouth Notch whose speeches and writings entranced huge audiences across 19th-century America. We're talking to author Sara Rath.

Broadcast live on Mon., April 25, 2016 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
